Ultimate Packing Guide

Your travelling needs will be different for different climates. Before you leave, you will need to make a packing list that will help you get ready for your trip. The things that you need to take with you strongly depend on the destination and travel style.
A safari trip may require different things from a cruise. What you pack for Alaska will not be the same as those you will need to take to Hawaii. Do you plan on going to the spa? A mountain climb? Or beach fun?
To prepare the list, we have to go back to basics and later on consider the destination.
A traveler needs to plan on packing his travel needs to make sure he goes by the security alerts at entry and exit points. The baggage fees must also be considered. If you plan on taking a carry-on luggage, think of the things you can fit in that hand-carried bag. What things do you need to access during travel? How do you pack your make up and toiletries? Where do you place your medications?
The basic packing list would be: 5 matching outfits (tops and bottoms), two pairs of shoes, underwear for 5 days, a pair of swim suit, 3 pairs of socks, a night clothing, and a jacket.
If you are packing for cold weather, bring: 2 long sleeve tops, 2 pairs of slacks, 2 pull over sweaters, 2 turtlenecks, 1 sweater vest or jacket to wear on the plane, 4 pair of warm socks or tights, warm gloves, a scarf, and a hat.
Cosmetics that comply with security regulations can be tricky. Take your toothpaste and toothbrush with you and stick with sugarless mints for a short while. Consider bringing a bar soap instead of liquid cleansers. For shampoo and conditioner, it’s always fun to see what another country can offer as these always have to go in higher volumes. A small bottle of sanitizer will do.
Three ounces of your facial sunscreen will let you last for a few weeks. Go for powder make up too. Only your mascara can fit into that small clear plastic. Dry lipsticks may be placed outside the clear plastic bag but your lip gloss must go in. Be easy on the perfume for now. Take a small bottle of cologne with you. Pack solid deodorants. You’re now all good.
For your medications, you are allowed to take a bottle of KY jelly, liquid nutrition products for passengers with medical conditions, gel-filled bras and wheelchair cushions, and small amounts of baby formula for those with babies with them. Anything in tablet form are acceptable.
These are some of the guides that will help. But remember that you will have your own personal needs. A list will keep you organized.
You might just not forget something if you make one. If you forget something, think about it – you’ll get it somewhere. Life is a journey – have fun!
