The Silken Puerta America Hotel in Madrid looks more art deco apartment than hotel.

It’s bright colours and classy design have been described as, ‘a masterpiece of an artwork of modern architecture and design’.

Of course that’s one man’s opinion and is the complete opposite of my thoughts on the hotel’s look.

Is it a design masterpiece or a design disaster? Would this be somewhere to kick back and relax as you take in the sights of Spain?
