Beach Holidays With Kids

The United States covers six time zones and varied climates from Alaskan ice fields to warm California and Florida shores.

High mountains, ancient volcanoes, cactus-covered deserts, hidden caverns, tropical beaches and panoramic wide open spaces can all be found within its rich territory.

Cultural diversity is not strange with the dim sum in San Francisco, pizza in Boston, bagels in New York, burritos in LA, hot dogs in Chicago, and so much more.

Traveling around the United States with kids can be spontaneous and very adventurous.

There are tons of family friendly beaches within the US of A. with destinations stretched all around the Atlantic coast.

Florida is tied first place when it comes to family beach holidays. Having fun in the water and getting sand in all the wrong places just needs to be experienced.

Fort Lauderdale’s fabulous water taxis, ghost tours, and water sports from deep sea fishing to wind surfing will make the kids ecstatic. Vero Beach holds wildlife like turtles and pelicans aside from moonlight boat trips.

Kids, as young as six, can go to surf camps at the Cocoa Beach. Watch the dolphins or go on a shrimp boat cruise at the Crescent Beach. Hutchinson Island is an ideal place to take very young kids.

Further south takes you to Kure Beach in North Carolina. Visit the Aquarium featuring sharks and other awesome marine life, and throw a line at the Fishing Pier.

South Carolina is not far behind in terms of entertainment. Myrtle Beach is where the action is and it’s also where the men get to go golfing. Just make sure the kids get to sample the huge variety of mini-golf courses too.

Don’t forget the offerings of the Alabama theatre, the House of Blues, and the Family Kingdom Amusement Park among others. The Virginia Beach is famous for its boardwalk forming the battleship Wisconsin, Marine Science Museum, and Airspace Centre.

Georgia is an old world charm with slower pacing and open spaces where you can behold magnificent scenery.

The west coast along the Pacific offers a wide selection of beaches in the California area. Santa Barbara cradles a Family Vacation Centre that incorporates sport and other fun activities for kids while the parents can go wine tasting, kayaking, or just plain relaxing.

San Diego boasts of beaches with its identified brand of fun. The Coronado Beach is the most popular if you want to see the navy seals in action.
