Serena Williams Wins Third Wimbledon Title

Serena Williams has landed her third Wimbledon title after overcoming elder sister Venus 7-6, 6-2 in today’s final (July 4).

The No. 2 seed dominated the baseline rallies and outmanoeuvred the defending champion to seal a comprehensive straight sets victory in an hour and 27 minutes.

The head-to-head record between the Williams duo told its own story going into Saturday’s final with both sisters sharing 10 wins over the other sibling.

This was their 20th major final the pair have competed in through their pro careers.
