Serena Williams Threatens Line Judge

Kim Clijsters rolls into the finals of the U.S. Open after Serena Williams threw a major tantrum and threatened a line judge that she was going to, ‘take this f**king ball and shove it down your f**king throat’.

The outburst ended Williams’ reign as champion with a 6-4 7-5 defeat late on Saturday night at Flushing Meadows.

Having won the opening set following a delayed start due to rain, Clijsters moved 30-15 up on her opponents’ serve at 6-5 in the second.

Williams was then foot-faulted on a second serve to hand the Belgian a match point, and was anything but impressed, berating the linesperson whilst waving her rackuet, resulting in her being reported for verbal abuse.

ESPN have some good footage with decent sound of Serena and her threats.

There’s also an interesting post match press conference in that clip where the she tries to justify her actions – making even more of a fool of herself.
