Champions Rangers play host to Falkirk, while Celtic face a trip to Aberdeen on the opening day of the Scottish Premier League 09 / 10 season.

Walter Smith’s men will unfurl the champions’ flag on 15th August at Ibrox against Falkirk.

New Celtic boss Tony Mowbray takes his side to Pittodrie for a difficult game against Mark McGhee’s Aberdeen as they look to regain the SPL crown from Rangers.

SPL newcomers St Johnstone start at home to Motherwell, while John Hughes sees his Hibernian side play host to St Mirren.

Dundee United welcome Hearts to Tannadice on the opening weekend and Hamilton travel to Kilmarnock in the final fixture of the opening day.

The first Old Firm derby of the season takes place at Ibrox on 3rd of October with Celtic playing host to Rangers in the traditional derby showdown on 2nd of January.

The two fierce rivals lock horns for a third time at Ibrox on 27th February.

All the SPL sides complete their pre-split on 10th April.
