Arsenal secured an emphatic 3-0 win over North London rivals Tottenham at the Emirates Stadium.

Spurs will be disappointed after a frantic last few minutes at the end of the first half all but ended their hopes of a derby win, with Arsenal scoring twice in quick succession.

Everton’s search for a win continued as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Aston Villa in a full-blooded affair at Goodison Park.

Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is set to face renewed speculation regarding the security of his job after his much-changed Liverpool side lost 3-1 against Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Fulham took the points as goals from Erik Nevland and Clint Dempsey secured the win after Fernando Torres had cancelled out Bobby Zamora’s opener in the first half on the banks of The Thames.

Sunderland and West Ham both finished up with ten men as they battled to an enthralling 2-2 draw at the Stadium of Light.

Chelsea tightened their grip on top spot in the Premier League with an emphatic 4-0 victory over ten-man Bolton at the Reebok Stadium.

Dimitar Berbatov put in an impressive shift for Manchester United on Saturday as he helped to inspire a 2-0 win over Blackburn.

The victory, which also saw Wayne Rooney find the target late on, keeps Sir Alex Ferguson’s men on the coattails of Premier League leaders Chelsea and represents the perfect response to last weekend’s setback at Liverpool.

Jody Craddock scored a second-half brace as Wolves came from two goals down to earn a point against Stoke at the Britannia.

A hat-trick from Aruna Dindane helped Portsmouth earn their first Premier League win at Fratton Park this season as they convincingly defeated Wigan Athletic 4-0.

Graham Alexander scored twice for Burnley as Hull City’s Geovanni saw red and had a goal disallowed in a game marred by controversy. Match ended 2-0.
