UCL: Barca V Man Utd The Dream Final

Chelsea and Arsenal fans will disagree, whilst their players and management might take some persuading but Barcelona against Manchester United is a dream Champions League final.
As I watched Iniesta thump that ball into the net last night I knew I would be watching the final I’d been hoping for on May 27th in Rome.
Two attacking teams who won’t sit back and defend hoping to score on the break. This match will be flowing, pacey and jammed packed full of excitement and drama – just not of the sort we witnessed last night at Stamford Bridge.
The one disappointment for fans and several players is there will be a couple of big names missing from the line-ups due to suspension.
It’s something that the top brass at UEFA should take a closer look at. The Champions League Final is after all their show piece event of the year, so for world class players to be sitting in the stand because of previous yellow cards is nothing short of criminal.
I’m of the opinion that for the final everyone should start with a clean slate as far as yellow cards go. Fair enough if a player has been red carded in the semi-final stages, I have no qualms about them sitting out.
In three weeks time we will know the winner but will it be Manchester Utd lifting the European Cup for the fourth time of Barcelona’s third?
I’m sticking with Barca after following their travels on this footballing journey since it started last August and if any penalties go against Barcelona I’m hoping Ronaldo gives a repeat of his spectacular spot kick miss of April 2008.
