Bayern Set To Top Footballs Rich List

Bayern Munich could become the richest football club in the world if Audi secure a 10 per cent stake in its holding company FC Bayer AG.
The Bavarian car manufacturer recently confirmed its interest in developing a partnership with the Bundesliga giants, a move welcomed by the club’s general manager Uli Hoeness.
Hoeness thinks with Audi on board the club could repay the existing debts related to the construction of the Allianz Arena. Bayern currently pay around €30million a year in repayments.
However, if Audi make a €100m investment team manager Louis van Gaal won’t be going on a spending spree in the next transfer window as the cash would only be used to clear current debts.
Audi would join German sportswear giants Adidas on the board after it bought a 10 percent stake in 2002.
