Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships 2009

The 2009 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships are currently taking place in Mie, Japan.

The sport combines elements of ballet, gymnastics and modern dance, and uses apparatus such as ropes, ribbons, hoops and balls.

You may be thinking that this isn’t sport, however, it became an Olympic event at the 1984 games in Los Angeles and therefore qualifies for inclusion in the Sport section.
