Gossip Girl Spin Off Show Under Threat?

There have been rumours circling for a while now that Gossip Girl, the hit TV series was to get it’s own spin off show. Unfortunately for those of you who were eagerly awaiting this, it turns out things may not be going ahead as planned.

According to rumours and latest reports the show may not make it off the ground, despite initial early excitement.

The Spin-off show, which was to be set in the 80’s and feature Serena’s mum Lily (Played by Brittany Snow) as she rocked her way around the hottest LA hangouts looked like a whole lot of fun (think of the fab outfits that would have been featured!) but alas, maybe it was just not meant to be!

There will still be a flashback scene in next weeks Gossip Girl episode from Lily’s younger years, the producers have been doing their best to mention Lily’s past in various episodes in the last two weeks to tie this all in so I guess we’ll see from there how it all looks!

Gossip Girl went through a bit of a dull patch early on in the season but things are definitely hotting up now with love triangles aplenty and some fun filled storylines, let’s hope it stays this way and that we don’t see another slump!
