Britains Got Talent Should Be Renamed Britain Got Conned

On Saturday nights Britain’s Got Talent 12 year old Shaheen Jafargholi is stopped abruptly by Simon Cowell after less than a minute into his audition.

Cowell tells the kid he has got it all wrong and asks if he can sing something else. No harm in giving the lad a second shot but for me watching, the whole thing looked staged.

Set-up, staged, fixed – call it what you want but I find it hard to believe that a boy with Shaheen’s singing ability, as you’ll hear when he sings Michael Jackson, could cock-up the timing so badly on the Amy Winehouse track to begin with.

Not to mention the way Simon stopped him mid swing – why stop this kid and leave so many others to continue? Then he’s asked to pick another song which he does and conveniently they had the backing track already loaded in the CD player ready to go. The production staff on this show are the one’s with talent if they can read minds.

Sorry but I’m just not buying any of it and from now on I’ll find something better to do with my time as I eat breakfast on a Sunday morning.

Watch the clip below and see what you think, was the whole thing staged?
