Charlotte Church Worried About Her Daughter’s Fainting Spells

Charlotte Church’s two-year-old daughter Ruby is suffering from a rare medical disorder that causes her to faint. The 23-year-old singer said, “Ruby does this thing when she holds her breath, especially when she is having a tantrum and wants her own way.”

Doctors have informed Charlotte and her boyfriend Gavin Henson that Ruby is suffering from BHS or ‘Breath Holding Spells’.

Speaking at a fundraiser for the new Children’s Hospital for Wales, she revealed that she is worried about her daughter’s disorder. Charlotte admitted that the first time it happened it was ‘absolutely horrendous’. Ruby “will hold her breath until she passes out”.

She explained. “If she sees something she wants like sweets or chocolates. But if I stop her it risks her having one of these breathing attacks.”
