Avril Got Married Too Young

Avril Lavigne has split up with her Sum 41 rocker husband Deryck Whibley. A source revealed to People, “She married too young and she finally realised that.” The insider added, “Avril realised she needs her own life and needs to explore things without him.”

The couple, who got married in July 2006, announced their split on Thursday September 19, 2009. The 24-year-old wrote in a statement on her website, “He is the most amazing person I know and I love him with all my heart. Deryck and I are separating and moving forward on a positive note.”

Another insider claimed that the couple was having problems for at least six months. The source confirmed that the spilt was “not about Deryck wanting a kid nor is she dating anyone else.”
