V Festival Australia

The Australian V Festival is a spin-off of the British V Festival. The event takes place over two huge weekends in Sydney, the Gold Coast, Melbourne and Perth in March/April and is televised exclusively by MTV Australia.

Now in it’s third year the line-up for the 2009 shows was much as you’d expect. The Killers, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight and … Vanilla Ice!

Yep, Vanilla Ice was on the card and he was apparently one of the biggest draw at the festival. His billing was part of a marketing campaign for Virgin Mobile.

Also making an appearance was Welsh songstress Duffy.

The 2009 V Festival in the UK takes place on 22nd & 23rd August at the Hylands Park Chelmsford. Weston Park Staffordshire.
