Alexandra & Duffy 2008s Biggest Sellers

The Official Charts Company have released the UK’s biggest selling singles and albums for 2008 and it’s no surprise to see X Factor winner Alexandra Burke sitting top of the years best selling singles.

Burke shifted just under 900k units in two weeks and it was another X Factor single, the charity version of Hero, that took second slot with sales of three quarters of a million.

Welsh songstress Duffy took third spot with her single Mercy but was victorious over Take That on album sales. Her debut album, Rockferry, held off Take That with 1.685 million copies sold.
