U2 Kick Off 360 Degrees Tour In Barcelona

U2 have launched their world tour in front of 90,000 fans on a spectacular stage in the Camp Nou stadium, Barcelona.

The concert was held on an immense stage taking up half the stadium’s field. Above it is a massive metal structure, nicknamed “The Claw” by fans and resembling a giant spider, 50m across and weighing 390 tonnes.

A second concert is scheduled in Barcelona for tomorrow night (July 2).

After Barcelona, the tour moves to Milan’s San Siro stadium on July 7 and then to France, Germany and the Netherlands before the band head home to Ireland for a gig on July 24 at Croke Park in Dublin.
