MTV EMAs – The Winners List

Beyonce was the big winner at the 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMAs), held at the O2 World in Berlin, Germany last night.
She walked away with three of the night’s biggest awards –
Best Female, Best Song – ‘Halo’ and Best Video – ‘Single Ladies’.
Katy Perry hosted the event for the second year running and went through a succession of costume changes, taking Liza Minnelli in Cabaret as her inspiration.
U2 won the Best Live Act gong, after playing a sold-out free gig at Berlin’s Brandenburg Gate to mark the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
The other winners were Eminem (Best Male); Tokio Hotel (Best Group); Green Day (Best Rock Band); maNga (Best European Act); Lady Gaga (Best New Act); Jay-Z (Best Urban); Placebo (Best Alternative); Linkin Park (Best World Stage Performance); Pixie Lott (Best Push Artist).
MTV US channels, mtvU and MTV2, will air a one-hour version of the Awards on Sunday, November 15.
