Escala Make Classical Music Sexy

A year after bursting on to our TV screens on BGT, Escala have released their self titled debut album this week.
The sexy electronic string quartet are made up of violinists Victoria Lyon, Izzy Johnston, Chantal Leverton and cellist Tasya Hodges.
As you can see they aren’t your normal looking classical outfit and nor do they sound it, with Trevor Horn taking the production credit.

The girls reached the final of the second series of Britain’s Got Talent in 2008 and shortly after the show ended they signed a £1.5million recording contract with Sony BMG.
The following month they appeared in a month long promo airing on Sky Sports for the upcoming football season giving them huge exposure to a predominantly male audience.
This week it was announced the group had signed a £100,000 deal with Pretty Polly with the grape vine also suggesting they insured their bodies for a cool £5 million in case they get injured.
