Wolverine Movie Review

Not your average date movie, Wolverine is what I ended up watching with my husband the other night at our local cinema. Had it not been for the irresistible pull of seeing a gorgeous Hugh Jackman spend half the movie running around without his shirt on, I might have complained.
What I can say after watching the movie, is although it has a few inconsistencies with the original XMen films, it is without doubt one of the best action movies I’ve seen in a while. Hugh Jackman is fantastic as usual as Wolverine but is slightly overshadowed (in my opinion) by his brother Victor Creed / Sabretooth played brilliantly by Liev Schreiber who somehow manages to steal the scenes with his cocky, angry nature in places.
It’s great to see how it all began with Logan, and learn more about the Adamantium that binds itself to Wolverine’s skeleton making him virtually indestructible, we learn about his time in the army and his ongoing feud with his brother which is one of the most interesting aspects of the storyline.
The special effects are awesome, especially the fight scenes which have been choreographed to perfection. It is without doubt a must see movie, with plenty of reasons to watch whether you’re a guy or a girl!
