Mamma Mia! is the fastest selling DVD ever in the UK after shifting 1.7million copies on its first day.

The ABBA inspired musical, starring Meryl Streep, beat the record of 1.2million copies set by Titanic in 1998.

The movie, which is still showing at cinemas, is due to break the record for the most DVDs sold in a week.

Since coming out in July, Mamma Mia! has made £67m – a UK record for a British film.
