Talking dogs in movies are nothing new but you need to meet Dug, a rather amusing talking dog in the new Pixar flick, Up.

Dug’s owner has made him a magical collar that turns Dug’s thoughts into speech whenever he wears it. Like most dogs he’s a bit dopey but very loveable.

His voice is provided by the actor Bob Peterson who has voiced characters in a few animated movies such as Finding Nemo, Cars, Monsters Inc and The Incredibles.

The release schedule for Up is a little staggered with a viewing at Cannes on May 13th followed a week later with it’s full Stateside release. The films release dates take it all across the world throughout the summer before hitting the cinemas of Europe and the UK in October.
