A little girl from New Zealand has managed to win an auction for an £8,000 digger, whilst her parents slept.

The mother of the girl woke up in the morning, and during her morning routine checked her computer, and was surprised to see emails from the “Trade Me” auction site (like E-bay) telling her that her $NZ2,000 bid was a winner, she quickly shouted her husband to ask him to verify what she had seen thinking that it was a scam of some sort, and he confirmed the authenticity and the fact that a Kobelco is a large industrial digger.

Young Pipi Quinlan (Auckland) must have gotten out of her room in the night, and somehow managed to log on to her mums PC, on which she had been previously been viewing the Trade Me Auction site, her mother couldn’t understand why she would have clicked on the ugly digger as she doesn’t like tractors and is a really “girlie girl”.

Luckily Pipi’s mum, Sarah Quinlan got in touch with the auction site and told them of her daughters accidental bid and they withdrew it and returned the other users listing and selling fees for the item – it’s just a good job she wasn’t logged into her banking site, that would have been nasty!.
