Photo Special: Bizarre Drug Smuggling Attempts

There were a record 241,090 drug seizures by police and the UK Border Agency in England and Wales in the past 12 months, an increase of 6%.
Smugglers will go to extraordinary lengths to traffic their narcotics.
This gallery shows a few of the more bizarre smuggling attempts including drug filled frozen shark carcasses stuffed with a ton of cocaine.
Or how about the x-ray of a Labrador dog showing parcels of cocaine inserted between it’s stomach and skin lining by a vet in Colombia prior to export to Europe.
There’s also a plaster cast made of cocaine, puppies surgically implanted with liquid heroin, snakes and submarines with hidden cargo, and various foot stuffs containing an extra ‘ingredient’ or two.
