Brit Shot Dead In Paradise With Internet Wife

As soon as I read the story of a 61 year old British man being shot dead in the Philippines by ‘robbers’ at his beach front home he shared wife his 21 year old wife I instantly thought – set up.

Charles Maxwell, from Warminster in Wiltshire, had moved to Ubay city, on the island of Bohol, in October last year after meeting Miss del Rosario in an online chatroom.

He was shot twice in the chest when two masked robbers burst into the house as he ate with his new bride and two other women.

One woman managed to escape from the house to get help while the other two were forced at gunpoint to hand over money and other valuables.

djmick says: Only time will tell if his wife was involved with the robbers but my hunch right now is that she was. Give the old guy six months of fun, spend his cash then bump him off.
